ART FOOD 2014 starts in July in Ćmielów Design Studio

  EN Food Art Project 2014 is a challenge for ceramic design students and the answer to new requirements in the culinary culture, which has in recent years developed new trends and styles. Traditional plates and bowls no longer sufficient to the creativity and imagination of chefs. There is a high demand for new ceramic serving objects and the Art Food project aims to fill this gap. This is the second edition of the project. This time, students from three universities, Academy of Fine Arts Eugeniusz Geppert in Wroclaw, Central St Maritns College London and Pratt Institute in New York, under the supervision of Marek Cecuła - leader of the project, will realize their designs in Polish Porcelain Factories "Ćmielów" and "Chodzież". Food Art Project gives students a unique opportunity to learn about the design process in realistic conditions and in close collaboration with the manufacturer. It brings a real sense of what  collaboration with customers and the industry means, and what is the transition from concept to mass production, based on a realistic market demand. This week the selection of submitted proposals has been made and with the beginning of July a group of twelve students will begin their projects in Ćmielów Design Studio. ART FOOD 2014 startuje w lipcu w Ćmielów Design Studio

Projekt Art Food 2014 jest wyzwaniem dla studentów wzornictwa i ceramiki, a jednocześnie odpowiedzią na nowe wymagania w kulturze kulinarnej, która w ostatnich latach rozwija się w kierunku nowych trendów i stylów. Tradycyjne talerze i miski już  nie zaspokajają wyobraźni kreatywnych kucharzy. Istnieje duże zapotrzebowanie na nowe elementy ceramiczne i projekt Art Food ma za zadanie wypełnić tę lukę. To już druga edycja projektu. Tym razem studenci z trzech uczelni, Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu,  Central St Maritns College w Londynie oraz Pratt Institute w Nowym Jorku, pod okiem Marka Cecuły– lidera projektu,  będą realizować swoje wzory  w Polskich Fabrykach Porcelany „Ćmielów” i „Chodzież” S.A. Projekt Art Food daje studentom unikalną szansę poznania procesu projektowania w realistycznych warunkach i przy ściślej współpracy z producentem. Przynosi realistyczne poczucie tego, co oznacza kolaboracja z klientem i przemysłem i czym jest przejście od koncepcji do masowego wytwarzania uwarunkowanego realistycznym zapotrzebowaniem rynkowym. W tym tygodniu została dokonana selekcja nadesłanych propozycji i już z początkiem lipca grupa dwanaściorga studentów rozpocznie realizację projektów w Ćmielów Design Studio.
